Iccom Hosts Accreditation of Speech Coordinators.

The Institute of Certified Communicators (ICCOM) has held its second accreditation and re-accreditation programme at the company’s taining center on Tuesday, 23rd April, 2019. The sessions which ended on a splendid note had representatives from eleven different schools in the Lagos and Ogun State axis.

The programme kickstarted with welcoming of participants and preview of the programme by Mr. Chris Nkwocha.

This was followed by splitting the class into two – the accreditation class, and the re-accreditation class.

Thereafter, the Speak-Right Team took turns in furnishing speech coordinators with knowledge on how to champion and promote the speak-right culture in their various schools.

Participants were also trained on how to produce and edit deluxe videos.

Speech coordinators who were outstanding in discharging their duties last term were recognized and presented with gift – packaged and cash gift.

Speech coordinators rewarded for outstanding performance are as follow:

  1. Mr. Sunday Visou Abiodun from County Crest Schools.
  2. Mrs. Allison Adejumoke Oyetola from Tee-Tops Schools, Magodo.
  3. Mrs. Nwaomonoh Nkeiruka Rosemary from Mayors International School, Ikeja.

Mrs. Nwaomonoh’s gift was presented in absentia.

The programme climaxed with the accreditation test and issuing of accreditation certificates to all participants.

Participants’ Reactions

Participants who represented various schools facilitated by ICCOM reacted positively to the programme content and facilitation.

Blessing Maxwell Daniel(Mrs) from Agape Bundles Montessori School surmised that “The training was enlightening, it gave directives and guidelines on how to combine my primary assignment with coordination effectively to achieve my school’s vision on diction”.

Similarly, Mr. Sunday Visou Abiodun from County Crest School stated that “The training session was refreshing and inspiring. The delivery was on point. I want to sincerely on behalf of my school, appreciate Speech House for the award received today, and for their tenacity in giving the best in the area of diction”.

Also, Mrs. Oladiran Charity from Duke Hall Schools stated that “The training was a fantastic one, really soul lifting, encouraging and motivating. I hope to carry out all of these instruction and come up with greater presentations from pupils and teachers”.
